Do I need a lawyer to review a business sale agreement?

Peter K.3w ago1 replies54 views

Deal is small (under USD 200k) and fairly simple. Is it worth paying for a lawyer to review the sale agreement, or can I get away with a template?

Even on smaller deals, a lawyer reviewing warranties, indemnities and the restraint-of-trade clause is worth it — those are exactly the clauses that cause disputes after closing.
